Been loyal since the 80's. Still the same owners getting up every morning to bake the fresh breads and goodies. Banana bread is to die for!
Poor- the place has gone downhill. Every time I go there they do not have what I am looking for. I was told for the last 4 months that " next week they would be making sauce" and each time I go back to check they didn't do it. Bread is still alright to buy, when they have what you are looking for. Ive been in at 11 am and they are out of a bun/ bread and say that they won't be making anymore that day. Also croissants didn't proof and they were about a third of the size( mini for sure) and they still wanted to charge me full price rather than discounting, they opt to throw out, as no one would buy them at full price. So all in all, Casa Leone has " Jumped the shark"- everyone I speak to in merritton says the same thing about the lack of inventory, the lack of customer service and the quality is just not there anymore. I can't recall how many time over the last few months that there is a lineup outside at opening and no employee is there to open up on time.
I am so fortunate to live across the street from them!!
Big selection and high quality of breads and buns, deli and cheese keeps me rotten spoiled!
They have the beast banana bread. Try it when is still warm, yumm!
Been going since it opened .Excellent
For many years ive been going to St Josephs bakery, they had the most amazing fresh buns, but since they installed new Ovens thier product has never been the same! Casa Leone now has the Best buns in the region and are the only Deli around that sells Extra Hot Capicola.Thankyou Casa Leone!!
The thinner calabrese they make is the best I have ever had my cousins bring it to me here in Toronto.
We have been coming there for years. We love your hot sausage rolls! Thanks for the kind service. Donna and Charles
I dont cook dinner anymore for guests. I just put out your breads with some olive oil and it keeps everyone happy.
Just heard from our family friends you were voted #1 bakery in the region.a big congrats!
the best HOMEMADE subs!!!
Can not faulty the service or the quality, one of the best bakeries around. They bake with the heart, thank you.
Alan @ PigOut
The pies are DeeLish. Dont change anything please
Love the look of the new store. Excited for the catering and hot foods. You need a website! Your biggest fans, The Bechams
First time in the bakery this weekend. I though I was in NYC. The music playing, the hot breads being brought out. over 50 people waiting to get in. I stopped because the traffic was all pulling into the building. I am glad I did. Bought a fresh pie and some bread that I did not even know existed. Bought some fresh mozzerella, must have been 15 people around the store to serve me. reminded me of sullivan street Bakery in NYC. Loveddddddddddddd it. This will be my new bakery.
This place is dusty, dirty and clearly unhygienic and the bread is simply too hard possibly stale like the air in there
great choice of food, breads, deli meat , ect. ect. and great service
I refuse to go in that bakery when I am hungry. It ends up costing me $50 each time.
My husband will not take his lunch unless its with your bread
If I dont use this bread to make my kids' lunches, they wont eat it. A nice kaiser with some ham and tomatoes.
I love going there, I buy the crunchy italian bread for my lunch, and the soft buns for my kids and wife.
I have used their speciality breads for my catering jobs. Using their products makes such a difference. Really content with them.
Far to expensive, and busy. $1.75 for a loaf of bread? Aren't they asking a bit to much. Especially considering the fact I need to wrestle people to grab it, because that place is always full!
Fav place to shop for italian goodies. My childrens lunches are made with your stuff everyday.
We live in Thunder Bay, everytime we had to the states on the drive back we stop here and buy 25 bread for our freezer. Nothing up here compares. Let's francise Leone family.
My boyfriend and I agreed, its worth the drive from Dundas once a week for their bread.
They need to start considering delivering outside of St. Catherines. Their bread is just so different, I cant describe it. I don't feel bloated when I eat it. It's a really pleasant product.
Good kaisers. Good everything. Wrong side of town. Move to the other side of town so I dont have to drive so far.
Best products in the region. Little to far from beamsville for everyday bread, but for special occasions I make the trip.
Moved to St. Catharines to go to brock from Toronto, finally a place I can buy bread that reminds me of home.
Love shopping at this boutique bakery. Warm pies, fresh bread and hot pizza. Ladies, nothing says Eat, pray, love like the goodies in this hot spot. Fig Nougat with espresso bean look out or should I say "attenzione" he he
i used to work here.
seriously, you wouldnt imagine some of the scammer-like things that they do.
and the unsanitary conditions... i had to quit because i just did not believe in what they were doing.
I love their authentic breads
Now that's bread I can serve to my parents without being yelled at.
The olive bread is the best I have ever tried. Never dissapointed with casa leone
No doubt, the best bread in niagara region. When I visit relatives in barrie, I bring them the bread and they go nuts over it.
I can't wait for easter saturday, I'm gonna make the trip from beamsville just for that fresh bread, and other goodies!
Their breads are unreal!!! So fresh and tastes like bread should taste...I shop there every sunday and am never dissappointed. Lina always had a smile one her and is very pleasant! Thanks!!
Their buns are junk!
No flavour and far too small.
I will never buy anything from there again, I just threw all my buns and bread out from there.
Good bread & buns
I tried one of their made from scratch Panetone breads. It was so tasty and moist. Lots of fruits and raisins in there. I really enjoyed it.
Good job guys!
This place made my thankgiving a hit.I come in all the way from grimsby for all the special occasions. I love your products Mr. and Mrs. Leone!
Too much talent in Casa Leone
My kids wont eat their lunches at school unless its made with bread from Casa leone.
The snack table for my sons stag was entirely prepared by Casaleone, Pizza, buns, meats, cheeses, antipasto and they did a pastry tray as well. Then on top of all of that, the owner bought two stag tickets, and he didnt even know my son!! They treated me like family!!!!! Best bakery in Niagara BY FAR!!!!!
Every lunch three of my co workers and I head into the bakery for lunch, its quick, fresh, and everyday its different lunch options.
Their cannolis are among the best ive tried, its worth the drive on my lunch break!
I switched over all my friends from buying grocery store garbage, into buying casa leone bread, and all thank me for it each time we eat stuff from there. I wonder if i could convince them for a commission. HeHeHeHe
First time in casa leone on christmas eve with my daughter, without a doubt the best bakery store I have ever been in my entire life. I picked up a cold cuts party tray, with a few different breads.
Great Variaty of groceries really unique for all different cultures. Amazing bread you can still hear it crack a ling when it comes outta the oven...sooooooo gooood!
The only thing I hate is running into my X wife in this place, but besides that the best bakery I have ever been to.
My daughter goes to Mc Master, and every other week when she calls for me to prepare a care package for her to take back to school, one definate part is always casa leone things, from bread to all the other little pantry items. I really enjoy that store
No word of a lie, I had 10 people over last night and all I did was buy about 7 different types of bread and a few different cheese and things from their antipasto bar, it was such a nice sitting. I have never seen so many people get so excited over good bread, that place is just AWESOME
Great products!!!! Whenever I have people over, I always stop into casa leone to make sure the pantry is nice and full at my home.
The best bakery I have been to in Niagara, their is something different about that bread. I dont know exactly what it is but all their stuff just tastes better.
First time in there on wednesday, and as soon as I walked in the fresh bread smell toke me back to my childhood. It put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.
Their italian biscotti are fantastic, I eat one every morning with a nice coffee. I really like going there!
I have to drive all the way from the other side of St. Kitts to get decent bread and shop in a proper bakery. North St. Catharines needs a Casa Leone, or somewhere to carry their foods. I hope if someone from management or an owner reads this, they seriously consider it
I was eating with my husband in a resturant in Jordan Village, and the waitress brought us out a hamburger and said it was the best one in the region the best meat on casa leone buns. I was like HEY!!! I SHOP THERE!!!. Searched the bakery and found this site.
incredible bread and baked goods....
By word of mouth from a friend I headed into the bakery, and tried the italian bread and cebatta bread. AMAZING it just joined my regular sunday routine stop.
I got more compliments about the bread and buns then I did on the dinner I worked hard on. I guess its true what they say start the dinner off with good bread and everything falls into place.
I was in on saturday, and these boys were carrying out the bread on these big plates to stock on the racks. It was very cool to watch, and when I grabbed the bread it was so warm I could barely hold on to it. I love that place. Its to bad I live on the other side of the city, or else I would come more often.
Very busy place, I counted 18 people in there today at around 11. It makes it feel so much more alive.
My daughter came up to hamilton on mothers day and brought me a whole bag of goodies and buns from Casa leone. Without a doubt I can say I have never tasted such yummy bread, I searched on the internet about it, and I found this page. I was very pleased and content with the food.
awesome place, awesome stuff
Excellent bakery with a tonne of variety in breads and buns. Artisan bread is very tasty. Sometimes it gets a little busy in there but everyone is always so cheerful. Im 40 and have a family of my own now, but remember my dad bringing me in there 15 yrs ago and the owners kids maybe 5 at the time were helping bring out bread and carry out boxes for the older people. Oh how I miss the late 80's and early 90's. But the bread and great service is still the same.
Micheal and Racheal pirillo
I did a small catering function for valentines day. I used some multigran and brioce baguettes for apetiezers, and some of their pasteries for dessert. A complete hit.
Its become a routine stop for my family, church and then Casa Leone.
Good bread and buns!
Third time coming heading into the bakery, I really loved it, so many different kinds of breads. I was watching some of the bakers load bread into a big truck in the back of the building. Looks like they really make alot of breads there, and I can see and taste why!
the best bread and deli meats ever. Also the most friendly staff... I will always come back
WOW, thats all I am gonna say. It was busier then a supermarket in there.
I was just in there the other day and I had the rudest staff member.
I'm sorry if she was having a bad day, but please don't take it out on me.
I was not impressed, and I will not be returning.
First time heading into casa leone just this past sunday before Victoria Day, what a fantastic place. My husband had suggested looking for a website to see what else they offered, and we found this page here. We had a great time, the bread, deli and biscotti were great.
I agree with one of the comments that I read earlier, these high gas prices limit me a bit from coming down, I would like to see a Casa Leone in the new forth avenue area. Alot of people would appreciate nice fresh bread close to home, well I know its not that easy to set up a whole new outlet, but at least try and place it in a grocery store near by.
My husband and I dropped in bakery last week, we were down visiting some family, and they brought us to casa leone. What an amazing selection of bread, and its SO BUSY, their were cars their from the U.S., like I said we come from the hamilton area, and not even there have I seen a bakery that busy, my wife had picked up a new bread they had displayed, they had designed a picture of the Pharroh of Eypgt on it, so creative, and VERY tasty. Its to bad about the gas prices or else I would come down every weekend just for some bread.
Keep up the good work Mr. and Mrs. Leone
Melinda & Ian McMillin
We are two brock students, we live literially two blocks from Casa Leone. What a fantastic place, so reasonably priced, bread, our deli meats, and the occasional Apple Pie...OMG YUMMY. Keep up the good work guys, as you can see im not the only one who thinks you guys are doing a great job.
Lisa and Dana
I was in on sunday, a vast selection of products. My wife take time out our sunday to stop into casa leone, its a fun time, we usually run into at least two or three people we know. Good food and good friends, not much else is needed in life.
Just great, great in everyway
Hopefully in time, you will be able to find Casa Leone products in the casinos here in Niagara. A great product and a definate dinning pleasure.
Fallsview Casino Resort
I love the new look of the store, good job everyone.
I am opening a new italian banquet hall in Buffalo, New York. My first choice for bread was Casa Leone. Great stuff we love it.
Great quality, we love casa leone
My family friend recently passed away, they prepared everything in great order, delivered it to the hall, and were caring to a difficult time for all of us. Thank you Lina
I am in love with their multigran bread, and pane calabrese (hope I spelt that right)
Great Place, Great Bread
My Wife and I were at the Vintage Inns in Niagara On The Lake, we had the most amazing buns and bread and they directed us to Casa Leone. We have never ate such tasty products
The best bakery I have ever been to in Niagara, they should expand to Hamilton.
omg, i was also in on christmas eve. it was hectic but well worth it!. the family at casa leone is one of a kind. we love the products and the appreciation of the family. Yours Truely- Sandro and Maria
I went on X mas eve, ive never been to such a busy bakery, it was CRAZY....everyone loves casa leone
Never had such an enjoyable meal, the bread makes so much of a difference.
My wife and I are from NY, and we make the drive just for that bread, it is the best we have ever had. I recomand it to anyone and everyone.
amazinggg bread!! it makes my dinner so much more appreciateable. i could almost just eat leone bread as a dinner itself.
